Dowell Research Institute has two major R&D centers: Dowell Chengdu R&D Center and Dowell Shanghai Jinshi R&D Center, with a total construction area of over 8000 square meters and complete R&D equipment and facilities.

       At present, the institute has established 15 research laboratories, including the Clean Materials Research and Development Laboratory, the Water Field Materials and Leather Waste Resource Utilization Research Laboratory, the Silicon Materials Research Laboratory, the Functional Materials Research Laboratory, the Amino Resin and Phenolic Materials Research Laboratory, the Acrylic Materials Research Laboratory, the Polyurethane and Coating Materials Research Laboratory, the Coating Materials Research Laboratory, the Color Paste Research Laboratory, the Industrial Coatings Research Laboratory, the Leather Machinery Research Laboratory, the Chengdu Application Research Laboratory, the Shanghai Water Field Materials Application Research Laboratory, and the Shanghai Coating Materials Application Research Laboratory. These laboratories provide strong technological support for the design and development of Dowell's various product series.
